As this work often requires precision to a thousandth of a millimeter, CNC-controlled machine tools are used for processing. For example, machining operations such as milling, turning or grinding are used. These are programmed, manufactured and tested by the skilled workers. Concentrated work and precision are prerequisites for success. Industrial mechanics are also used for repairs and maintenance.

Duration of training: 42 months - can be shortened under certain circumstances (higher school-leaving certificate, good performance)

Prerequisite: at least qualifying secondary school leaving certificate with good grades in English, mathematics & physics; intermediate school leaving certificate or secondary school leaving certificate

Electronics technicians for operating technology maintain and install operating equipment. They often also create the necessary automation software for this. Electronics technicians have knowledge of mechanics and electronics as well as extensive programming skills. Repair jobs require analytical thinking, quick comprehension and concentrated work. This work is often carried out under time pressure because machine downtime is expensive and can lead to delivery delays.

Are you about to graduate from school and wondering what to do next? Do you enjoy working with figures and data and have an interest in technology, business and law? Are you no stranger to new information and communication technologies?

Then an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk is the right choice for you. Do you enjoy purchasing goods and managing inventories, calculating costs for orders and projects and monitoring production processes? You will also be involved in marketing and sales, taking orders, conducting sales negotiations, preparing invoices and planning marketing and advertising measures. You will handle accounting, monitor payment transactions and use cost planning and control tools. However, personnel administration is also one of the tasks of industrial clerks. You will plan and determine personnel deployment and also participate in personnel decisions.

Within 3 years - which can be shortened to 2.5 or even 2 years - you will have your journeyman's certificate in your pocket. The training takes place in Straubing in the company and at the vocational school. To be able to master your apprenticeship, you should finish school with at least an intermediate school leaving certificate.
